Way back in the good old days, Vignelli went about designing lovely maps and branding for the DC Metro. His sketches and designs were posted by the Vignelli Center recently and Cameron of the Transit Maps blog has already gone ahead with redrawing a couple of them, so here’s one more redraw from me. I don’t know why, but I find this design so so appealing! (…I want it as a metal art print…!)
Butchering his design to fit Wellington
A cool thing about Vignelli’s ‘M’ – if you turn it upside down you get a ‘W’ for Wellington! Wow!
